Quincy Promes has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for stabbing his cousin.
Dutch: Former Netherlands international footballer, Quincy Promes, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for stabbing his cousin in the knee.
Promes, who currently plays for Spartak Moscow, was found guilty of assault by a Dutch court.
The incident took place during a family gathering in July 2020, and the court's verdict was delivered recently.
Promes's lawyer has confirmed that they will be appealing the decision.
The footballer who resides in Russia, did not attend the court hearing.
