China reacts to Joe Biden calling President Xi Jinping a dictator
China added that the US President's statement is a serious violation of China's political dignity.
Beijing: China has reacted strongly to US President Joe Biden calling Chinese President Xi Jinping a dictator.
The spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that they strongly condemn the statement of Joe Biden, adding that “The remarks of United States are extremely ridiculous and irresponsible”.
Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the US President's statement is a serious violation of basic facts, diplomatic protocols and China's political dignity, adding that it is an open political provocation.
At the ceremony held on Tuesday night, Joe Biden said: “Chinese president was embarrassed by the recent spy balloon issue that was in the airspace of the United States for the purpose of spying, and that is why the Chinese president is so upset,” adding that when we hit that balloon, it had spy equipment on it, it's a shame for a dictator that he didn't know what happened.
