Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted operations across Punjab to tackle terrorism concerns.


Lahore: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab conducted operations in various regions, resulting in the arrest of nine terrorists associated with banned organizations.
According to the CTD spokesperson, operations were carried out in different cities of the province based on the apprehensions of terrorist activities.
During intelligence-based operations, nine terrorists were apprehended, all of whom have connections to banned organizations.
The CTD revealed that seven cases have been registered against the arrested terrorists, and investigations are underway.
The spokesperson further informed that the arrested terrorists were captured in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, and Multan.
These individuals are affiliated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Al-Qaeda.
According to the spokesperson, explosives, detonators, and a significant amount of cash were recovered from the terrorists.
Authorities emphasized that a total of 153 combined operations were conducted across the province during the past week.
