Lahore: Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi Monday directed the provincial administration, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Rescue 1122 and Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) to remain alert for next 24 hours due to heavy rains in various cities of the province.
He also advised the concerned officers to be present in the field and the drainage system should be ensured by necessary machinery within stipulated time.
The caretaker CM said: “Negligence in drainage work will not be tolerated,” and also directed special arrangements for the flow of traffic during rainy season.
