There were reports circulating on social media that prices of petroleum products are likely to rise by Rs20 per liter from July 1.


Islamabad: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Thursday denied speculation regarding prices of petroleum products.
According to the notification issued by OGRA, it has been stated that no speculation should be made regarding the prices of petroleum products, as no summary of the prices of petroleum products has been sent to the federal government yet.

It is pertinent to note that there were reports circulating on social media according to which the prices of petroleum products are likely to rise by Rs20 per liter from July 1.
Notably, currently the price of petrol per liter is Rs262, while the diesel is being sold at the rate of Rs253 per liter. The price of kerosene oil is Rs164.7 per liter and light diesel oil is of Rs147.68 per liter.
