Heavy rain inundates areas of Lahore
The maximum rain in of 188 mm has been recorded in Nishtar Town, Lahore.
Lahore: Heavy rain continues in Lahore as it has inundated the areas of Gulberg, Liberty, Noor Jahan Road, Qaddafi Stadium and other roads, GNN reported.
According to details, the Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) management is nowhere to be seen to clear the roads.
The maximum rain in of 188 mm has been recorded in Nishtar Town, Lahore.
Both low lying and posh areas of Lahore are experiencing the flood-like situation as the roads have been submerged into the rain water.
It has also been reported that the caretaker government of Punjab has not been able to manage the sewerage situation during rain and fulfil their management claims.
If the monsoon season remains the same in Lahore and WASA does not make any effort to imrpove the sewage system, then day-to-day life in Lahore will be disturbed.
Department of Meteorology told that the maximum temperature of Lahore is 28 degree Celsius while the minimum is 22 degree Celsius. It also told that the rain will continue throughout the day.
