Main highway, including Peshawar-Parachar main highway, has been closed for last 70 days


Peshawar: The MS of Parachinar Hospital revealed that 29 children have died in two months due to lack of medical treatment in Kurram.
According to Deputy Commissioner Javedullah, the Grand Jirga to be established regarding the law and order situation in Kurram district will resume today.
On the other hand, the main highway of Kurram district, including the Peshawar-Parachar main highway, has been closed for the last 70 days. Due to the closure of the roads, there has been a severe shortage of food items, petrol, gas and medicines in the district.
While, the MS of Parachinar Hospital said that 29 children have died in two months due to lack of treatment. The situation may worsen due to lack of medicines and other facilities.
It is pertinent to note that more than 100 people were killed in the clash between tribes in Kurram district, after which the roads are still closed, while the jirga established regarding law and order could not reach any conclusion in the last meeting.
