Sargodha: In an unfortunate incident, seven people were killed, while over ten sustained the injuries after a gas cylinder exploded in passenger van in Bhalwal area of Sargodha, GNN reported.
According to details, the ill-fated bus was moving from Bhalwal to Kot Momin.
As soon as the incident was reported, the police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to Faisalabad hospital for medical assistance as there was no burning unit in the area.
Due to burnt bodies, it has been difficult to identify the victims, however, two of them have been identified as Samia and Kulsoom. While some of the injured include Nazira Bibi, Najma, Feroz Ali, Sawera and Asad.
Police told that that 21 passengers were present in the van, however, seven of them died and many were injured as a result of the explosion.
On the other hand, Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Raza Naqvi sought a report from the Commissioner and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha while taking notice of the incident of cylinder bursting in the passenger van.
