Lahore: German ambassador to Pakistan Alfred Grannas on Monday called on Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan.
The meeting highlighted the Pakistan's current political situation. Grannas stated a 2.3-billion-euro trade volume between Pakistan and Germany. Pakistan buys machinery, chemicals, and industrial equipment while exporting textiles, leather clothing, medical instruments, and rice to Germany.
Both countries have a potential to expand trade in food processing and IT sector.
Aleem stated that quantity of trade between Pakistan and Germany should expand, Germany being renowned for its ideals and leadership in the world community.
Further Grannas claimed he enjoyed Pakistan's hospitality, especially that of Lahorites.
Khan concluded by giving Grannas a shield.
