The victim was rushed to KPT Hospital in Kaemari.


Karachi: Karachi Port Trust’s (KPT) 18-grade officer became a victim of a fatal knife stabbing after a familial dispute in a government flat in Lalazar Society.
According to the police, in the vicinity of Dokki police station in Keamari district, Lalazar Society, a 53-year-old Atiqur Rahman Memon, was stabbed to death in his home by a sharp object wielded by an unidentified assailant.
The victim was a Grade 18 officer and the acting manager of a store.
As per the details provided by the police, Atiqur Rahman Memon resided in KPT apartments in Lalazar.
Alongside him, his second wife, their children, and three children from his deceased first wife were also living in the flat.
The police report suggests that a heated argument erupted between the deceased and his children, resulting in a physical altercation.
During the altercation, Atiqur Rahman Memon was fatally stabbed on the left side of his neck.
He was rushed to KPT Hospital in Kaemari, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Subsequently, the body was transferred to the morgue at Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
