US ambassador denies interfere in Pakistan's political affairs
“Many American companies are investing in Pakistan,” said Bloom.
Peshawar: US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Bloom said that he does not interfere in the political affairs of Pakistan.
While talking to the media in Peshawar, he congratulated Pakistan on success of IMF loan stating that: “Pakistan is currently facing many economic challenges”.
Donald Bloom added that Pakistan has to do more in this regard. US is the biggest country investing in Pakistan as the investment increased by 50% last year alone.
“Many American companies are investing in Pakistan,” said Bloom.
He continued to say that they do not interfere in the political affairs of Pakistan. Transparency in land records is important and they are supporting the government of Pakistan in this regard.
The ambassador further said that legislation regarding women's rights is also very important.
Donald Bloom said that US is working with Pakistan on Afghan refugees, and has allocated 60 million dollars specifically for Afghan refugees.
