PPP’s Sadia Danish elected as Deputy Speaker of GB Assembly unopposed

Kashmir: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sadia Danish has been elected as Deputy Speaker of Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly unopposed.

According to details, for the election of deputy speaker, the coalition parties had submitted the nomination papers of Sadia Danish, however no other member of the assembly submitted the nomination papers till the appointed time.

Sadia Danish became the deputy speaker of Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly unopposed. The election of Sadia Danish will be announced in the assembly session. Election Commission will officially issue a notification in this regard.

The former deputy Speaker Nazir Advocate had been elected as Speaker of the assembly. After which he issued a schedule for the election of Deputy Speaker.
