He died under mysterious circumstances, and the Bhutto family firmly believed he was poisoned.

Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari praised Shahnawaz Bhutto on his 38th anniversary on Monday.
Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the nation will always remember the struggle and sacrifice of Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto for democracy, who is truly a symbol of revolutionary thinking and vision among the youth of Pakistan.
The brutal killing of Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto was the second major tragedy for the Bhutto family and the party after the judicial murder of Quaid-i-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, according to his message on the 38th anniversary of Bhutto's martyrdom here on Monday.
He added that the martyrdom day of Shahnawaz Bhutto would continue to remind us how many inhuman acts of violence had been done to the Bhutto family for standing up for democracy.
Since Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was the older sister, he said, "the grief and sorrow of the tragic separation of her younger brother always remained like an unhealed wound in her heart."
"The Garhi Khuda Bakhsh graveyard has been inhabited by those who sacrificed their lives for democracy," Zardari maintained.
The former president committed to carry out Benazir Bhutto's "vision".
On July 18, 1985, the 26-year-old Shahnawaz was found dead in Nice, France. He died under mysterious circumstances, and the Bhutto family firmly believed he was poisoned.
