Lahore: Punjab government has issued the notification to increase the basic salary of government employees.
According to details, Punjab government had announced an increase in the salaries of government employees in the budget of the next financial year, after which the government has issued a notification for a 30 percent increase in the basic salary of the employees.
The notification told that the salary hike will be an ad hoc relief with effect from July 1.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi and discussed the salaries and pensions of Punjab government employees.
According to Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Prime Minister has directed to make the salaries and pensions of government employees of Punjab equal to that of Federation.
Responding to which the Caretaker Chief Minister has assured to take the issue of salaries back to the Cabinet.
