Critics wasted no time questioning Hareem Shah's audacity, particularly in light of her previous involvement in a money laundering case.
It is worth noting that Hareem Shah had traveled to London, reportedly in pursuit of Shahzad Akbar, the former accountability chief of Prime Minister Imran Khan's government. Her intention was to confront Akbar, blaming him for what she believed were attempts to tarnish her reputation by allegedly urging the UK National Crime Agency (NCA) to arrest her in connection with a money laundering case dating back to 2022.
The infamous scandal unfolded in January 2022 when a video surfaced, showing Hareem Shah flaunting large sums of cash from her London location.
She, in her defence, boldly claimed that she had effortlessly taken the money out of Pakistan without facing any legal issues.
