The 26 years old cricketer has become the second South African player to have accepted Islam.
Earlier in 2011, left-arm seamer Wayne Parnell had also converted to Islam. Parnell played 65 ODIs and 40 T20Is for the South African side.
Furthermore, Bjorn Fortuin made his first-class debut in 2013 and didn’t have an ideal debut as he was suspended for a duck in his debut innings.
It may be recalled that the cricketer had represented South Africa in the recent series against Pakistan.
