The procession of Muharram 07 will take place in Quetta today for which the relevant routes have been sealed by the authorities.


Quetta: Mobile phone and internet services have been shut in Quetta on Muharram 07 (today), 09 and 10.
Following the security concerns, double riding of motorcycles has also been banned in sensitive districts, while Sabi, Naseerabad and Quetta divisions have been declared highly sensitive.
The procession of Muharram 07 will take place in Quetta today for which the relevant routes have been sealed by the authorities. The procession will leave from Art School Road at 2:00pm today which will reach Magangi Road through Prince Road, which will again go through Prince Road and end at Art School Road.
According to reports, the police, Frontier Constabulary (FC) and other security agencies had sealed the procession routes on Tuesday night while heavy police force has been deployed to deal with any untoward situation.
On the occasion of seventh Muharram-ul-Harram, mobile phone and internet data services will remain suspended in Quetta today from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, while more than 2500 personnel will be deployed for the security of the procession.
