London: England's renowned fast bowler, Stuart Broad, has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket.
According to a statement released on the popular cricket website Cricinfo, Stuart Broad revealed that the ongoing Ashes series' fifth Test match would mark the end of his illustrious career.
The decision to retire came after the second day of the Test match, during which Stuart Broad showcased his exceptional bowling skills.
Throughout his Test career, Broad has taken a remarkable 602 wickets, and he is currently playing his 167th Test match against Australia.
In addition to his Test achievements, Broad has also played 121 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 56 Twenty20 matches, securing 178 and 65 wickets, respectively.
Stuart Broad has been a key player for England, contributing significantly with both bat and ball.
He has scored a total of 169 runs in Test matches, making him one of the leading all-rounders in the game.
With 602 wickets, Broad is now among the top five highest wicket-takers in Test cricket history.
