No militant group accepted responsibility for the incident as of yet.

The explosion that occurred in Bajaur during a workers' convention of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam - Fazl (JUI-F), resulting in more than 35 deaths and 200 injuries, has been strongly denounced by the interim government of Afghanistan.
However, no militant group accepted responsibility for the incident as of yet, Pakistan has recently called on the Afghan government to take precautions to prevent Pakistan from being used as a pawn in another country's war.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's spokesman, tweeted his sincere sympathies to the families impacted by the explosion.
In addition to praying for the injured victims' speedy recovery, he offered prayers for the souls of the martyrs.
The spokesperson emphasized that such attacks are wholly unjustified and reaffirmed the Afghan government's dedication to opposing violence and fostering peace and stability in the area.
