Rizwana Abuse Case: Court grants bail to main suspect until 7th August
The main suspect Sumaiyah Asim granted bail until 7th August in a domestic worker abuse case.
Islamabad: Islamabad's court has approved bail for the central culprit, Sumaiyah Asim, until 7th August in the case of domestic worker abuse in the residence of a local employer.
Sumaiyah Asim had filed a pre-arrest bail application in the District and Sessions Court Islamabad.
Additional Session Judge Dr. Abida Sajjad granted bail until 7th August against surety bonds worth one lakh rupees.
In her plea, the accused stated that Rizwana was working at her house with the consent of her parents and denied all allegations mentioned in the First Information Report (FIR).
She asserted that she had never committed any violence against Rizwana.
To prove her innocence, she is willing to provide a detailed statement in front of the investigating officer.
Sumaiyah Asim claimed that Rizwana's age was over 13 years and she treated her like her own children.
She expressed her willingness to cooperate with the investigation and stated that she would bear irreparable loss to her reputation and dignity due to the false allegations.
