Provincial government decides to strengthen police preparedness against these terror attacks.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains a target for terrorism, witnessing 670 terror-related incidents in the past year, resulting in the loss of numerous lives.
In response, the provincial government has made the decision to bolster police preparedness in countering terrorism.
The Department of Counterterrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has compiled a report on the terror incidents that occurred during the last year.
According to the report, terrorists carried out 17 suicide bombings, 15 rocket attacks, 107 IED (Improvised Explosive Device) attacks, and 382 firing incidents.
The highest number of attacks occurred in North Waziristan with 140 incidents, followed by 81 in D.I. Khan, and 60 in Peshawar.
As per the report, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested 432 terrorists in various operations, while 139 terrorists were killed in encounters, with their heads carrying a bounty worth PKR 48.1 million.
On the other hand, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to increase police and CTD preparedness to counter-terrorism.
The Information Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Feroz Jamal, stated that 8,000 police personnel have completed their training with the Pakistan Army, and 200 bulletproof vehicles, along with night vision equipment, have been provided to the police.
