Maid flees with 80 tola gold, Rs2 mln
The case has been registered on the complaint filed by the house owner.
Karachi: A shocking incident took place in the posh area of Defence, Karachi, where a maid carried out cleaning chores and made off with 80 tola gold and 2 million rupees.
The house owner, Shah Zaman Bhutto, claims that the maid committed the theft with the help of her accomplices and then disappeared without a trace.
According to the police, the case has been registered based on the complaint filed by the house owner.
As per the complainant, the maid named Zeenat was hired for household cleaning duties, and on the day of the incident, she brought along two other girls as helpers.
The police were informed that one maid engaged the homeowner in conversation, while the other two maids carried out the cleaning and took away the valuables from the first floor of the house.
After the incident, the maid and her accomplices fled the house by pretending to leave for their homes.
The police have obtained footage from CCTV cameras installed in the house and its surroundings to further investigate the matter.
