Azilal: A road crash killed 24 people in a rural area of North African Country Morocco on Sunday, the state news agency said.

The crash took place in Azilal Province, about 310 km (190 miles) from the capital Rabat, when a truck carrying local shoppers overturned on the road to the regional weekly market.

According to media reports, the bus overturned at the turn towards the market.

As soon as the incident was reported, the rescue teams reached the spot and took part in the rescue operation and shifted the injured passengers to the hospital.

Earlier in the month of March this year, a minibus had an accident and the driver lost control of the bus and crashed into a tree, resulting in the death of 11 people, mostly farmers.
