Financial Advisory Services to be engaged for Roosevelt Hotel transaction in New York.

Islamabad: The federal government has announced its decision to include Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in the privatization program.
Under the leadership of Federal Minister of Finance Senator Asad Umar, a cabinet committee meeting was held in Islamabad, during which it was decided to incorporate the PIA company limited into the privatization program.
The committee has also decided to acquire financial advisory services regarding the transaction of the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City.
It should be noted that the National Assembly recently approved the PIA Corporation (Amendment) Bill 2023, with reservations expressed not only by opposition members but also by government representatives.
In addition to this, the government has also finalized its decision to outsource operations at three airports: Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.
