Punjab Finance Department has sent notification to all concerned departments.


Lahore: Punjab government has officially issued a notification to increase the salaries of government employees and the pension of retired employees.
According to details, the caretaker Punjab government has issued a notification of 35% increase in salaries and 17.5% in pension.
The notification issued by Secretary Finance Punjab Mujahid Sherdil told that 35% in the salaries of employees of grades 1 to 16, while 30% in the salaries of government employees of grades 17 to 22 have been increased.
It has been stated in the notification that 17.5% increase in the salaries of retired employees has been issued.
The government has withdrawn the notification of 5% increase in the pension of employees retiring on August 01 as 17.5% increase will not be applicable to these employees.
Punjab Finance Department has sent notification to all concerned departments. The increase in salaries and pension has been applied from August 1, 2023.
