Haroon Shinwari appointed as ECP spokesperson

Islamabad: Haroon Shinwari was posted as the spokesperson for the Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday.

Replacing Quratul Ain as spokesperson, Haroon Shinwari will take on those duties. Haroon Shinwari is now the Election Commission's Additional Director General for Media.

The ECP had earlier ordered Quratul Ain to report to the Ministry of Information.

Quratul Ain, a spokesperson for the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), was denotified a few days ago.

She was appointed as spokeswoman last year. Ain was assigned by the information ministry to the ECP.
