Naeem Panjotha's remarks prompted the FIA to call Khawaja Haris on June 9.


Islamabad: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan ‘s council Khawaja Haris following the direction of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday.
Following the reported detention of Imran Khan's attorney Naeem Haider Panjotha in connection with an inquiry into Judge Humayun Dilawar's social media statements, he has been sent a summons.
According to sources, Naeem visited the FIA's main office to participate in the investigation into Humayun Dilawar's Facebook remarks. There, the FIA's cybercrime unit questioned him for about eight hours.
Naeem Panjotha's remarks prompted the FIA to call Khawaja Haris on June 9.
According to the Islamabad High Court's directives, Khawaja Haris would be subject to an investigation.
