The open market price of the US dollar is Rs.297.5, according to currency traders.


Karachi: The United States Dollar appreciated against Pakistani rupee (PKR) in the local market on Friday.
As per the State Bank of Pakistan, the local currency failed to gain market confidence and slumped during the trading today. The US dollar surged to Rs288.49, gaining 40 paisas in its value at the end of the business.
The open market price of the US dollar is Rs.297.5, according to currency traders.
Yesterday, the local unit lost Rs 0.14 against the greenback to close at Rs287.60 in the interbank. The greenback closed at Rs287.46 the other day. The open market price of the US dollar is Rs294.75, according to currency traders.
