Firdous humiliates AC Sialkot, triggers anger on social media
Sialkot: Netizens have flooded twitter with anger after the special assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan lambasted Assistant Commissioner (AC) Sialkot Sonia Sadaf.
As per details, the special assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on information and culture visited Ramzaan bazaar in Sialkot on Sunday and inspected the quality of goods being sold there.
After noticing some rotten fruits, she admonished Sialkot AC severely in front of the media.
The video of the incident showing Firdous shouting at the AC went viral on the social media within no time.
CM’s aid can clearly be seen yelling at and scolding the AC in public, for poor quality of food. Meanwhile, Sadaf tried to explain herself but couldn't get a word in edgewise.
However, the AC then left the scene angrily and had reportedly said that the conversation could have been held in a civilized manner.
Following the incident, Dr Awan received a backlash from the public on social media. People called her behavior absurd and uneducated.

Sonia's one of the politest and most professional Civil Servants out there.Publicly ridiculing her for the sake of publicity is absolutely uncalled for and beneath the level of professionalism her office demands.#FirdousAshiqAwan should ask for apology For her Unethical behavior. pic.twitter.com/P2PXiV6eNj

Apart from the tone and harsh language, i don’t think Appa Firdous said anything wrong. It’s the duty of AC to ensure quality and prices in the subsidised bazar. #ACSIALKOT

Senior government officials and politicians criticised Awan for the way she shouted at Sialkot AC.
Meanwhile, PML-N Senior vice president Maryam Nawaz said civil servants and officials get appointed to any administrative position after studying and passing competitive exams.
“Any minister or the chief minister's special assistant had no right to insult any officer” calling for the Punjab chief minister's special assistant to apologise to the civil servant.
