Alia Bhatt reflects on first encounter with Ranbir Kapoor
Alia Bhatt revealed that her first encounter with Ranbir Kapoor took place when she auditioned for the acclaimed and Filmfare Award-winning movie 'Black.'


Mumbai: Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, who recently ventured into Hollywood with the Netflix film 'Heart of Stone,' shared a heartwarming account of her initial interaction with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, with whom she now shares a daughter named Raha.
Alia Bhatt revealed that her first encounter with Ranbir Kapoor took place when she auditioned for the acclaimed and Filmfare Award-winning movie 'Black.' He made these remarks in a recent interview.
"I was auditioning for the role of young Rani Mukerji," disclosed the 'Heart of Stone' star. "Even though I didn't secure the role, as it's obvious I am not part of the film, it's an interesting detail! That was also when I had my first meeting with my now husband."

In a candid conversation on a talk show hosted by renowned director Karan Johar, the 'Highway' actress disclosed the particulars of her initial phone conversation with Ranbir Kapoor. The actress amusingly recounted how her dialogue during that conversation was far from coherent.
"I distinctly recall my first conversation with Ranbir. You (Karan Johar) dialed him up shortly after 'Rockstar' had been released and encouraged me to speak with Ranbir. You wanted me to express my admiration for him, but all I managed was a ramble of nonsensical chatter. I kept talking incessantly, and he responded with polite remarks like, 'That's very nice, Alia,'" reminisced the actress.
The union of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt was solidified on April 14, 2022, following a courtship of five years. Their journey together reached a significant milestone with the birth of their first child, a baby daughter named Raha, born on November 6th.
