Prominent Indian journalist and television anchor Rohit Sardana passed away due to coronavirus.

According to details, the TV star couldn’t survive a cardiac arrest days after he was diagnosed with COVID and was admitted to a private hospital after he tested positive for the virus.
The late TV journalist who had a very long association with the media industry has left his colleagues in utter shock. He was associated with a Delhi based news channel and survived by his wife, two daughters and parents.
Prime minister, Narendra Modi expressed his deepest condolences on the sad demise of the journalist. He wrote on Twitter, "Rohit Sardana left us too soon. Full of energy, passionate about India’s progress and a kind-hearted soul, Rohit will be missed by many people. His untimely demise has left a huge void in the media world. Condolences to his family, friends and admirers. Om Shanti."
TV channels and Newspapers with which the late journalist was associated have also shared their condolence remarks on his demise.
"We are all shocked by the death of our colleague and friend”, one of his colleagues added.
As the third wave of coronavirus is witnessed in India, there have been many causalities in the higher-ups of the society including renowned TV celebrities, politicians and journalists.
Indian Health ministry data showed there were 386,452 cases over 24 hours — the highest daily increase globally. At least 3,498 people have died in that time.
It is to be noted that the total number of coronavirus cases in India has reached a figure of 18,977,305 which hasn’t been noticed in any other country. Whereas the number of deaths in India has touched a figure of 209,581.
