Court issues warrant against actress Sophia, sister in Dubai trade case
Islamabad's local court issued arrest warrants for both actress Sophia Mirza and her sister Maryam Mirza.


Islamabad: In a case involving the filing of false complaints against a Dubai trader, a local court in Islamabad has issued arrest warrants for actress Sophia Mirza and her sister, Maryam Mirza.
According to reports, actress Sophia Mirza had filed false complaints against a Dubai trader, who in turn, registered a case against her in Islamabad.
Islamabad police state that despite their summons, both sisters have not participated in the investigation.
Efforts are ongoing to arrest Sophia Mirza, the actress, and Maryam Mirza, the tennis player.
According to police sources, a case has been registered against former accountability advisers Shahzad Akbar and Sophia Mirza in Islamabad.
Sophia Mirza has been consistently filing false complaints against Dubai trader Umar Farooq in the FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) case.
