Islamabad: The first meeting of the caretaker federal cabinet is underway during which the caretaker prime minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said that they will try to lay the foundation for the development of Pakistan, and the minorities will be provided protection in every way.
According to details, the first meeting of the Caretaker Federal Cabinet is chaired by the Caretaker Prime Minister in which Caretaker Ministers, Assistants and Advisors are participating and briefed the members regarding rules and procedures of the meeting.
It has been reported that secretaries and officials of the ministries were not invited to the cabinet meeting. The caretaker prime minister will instruct his cabinet on the future strategy.
Interim Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar welcomed the Caretaker Cabinet members in the meeting, the ministers congratulated him on assuming office.
Talking in the cabinet meeting, Anwaar stated: “I have a very capable and experienced team with me, Allah Almighty will guide us, Pakistan is an agricultural country and we have natural resources”.
He added that he will try to lay the foundation for the development of Pakistan, promote the IT sector, fulfill the promises made at the domestic and foreign levels.
Anwaar-ul-Haq continued to say that minorities will be protected, people of all religions and faiths have equal rights in Pakistan. The rule of law will prevail in the country only by following the law, and conservative tendencies will be discouraged.
He further stated: “We have to convince ourselves with actions not words, we will not allow any compromise on the rule of law,” adding that the events of May 09 were very disturbing.
It should be noted that the 18-member federal cabinet took oath yesterday (Thursday), which included 11 ministers and 7 assistants.
The notification of the formation of Federal Interim Cabinet was also issued yesterday, according to which Prime Minister Anwaar has kept 10 departments, that include Ministry of Housing, Inter-Provincial Coordination, Food Security, Agriculture and Saffron, Cabinet, Establishment, National Security Divisions and Departments of Common Interests Council.
The caretaker federal cabinet includes Murtaza Solangi, Dr. Umar Saif, Sarfraz Bugti, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Ashraf Tarar, Gohar Ejaz, Jalil Abbas Jilani and Jamal Shah.
