A 23-year-old succumbs to brain-eating Amoeba in Mirpur Khas.


Mirpur Khas: Naegleria claimed the life of a young individual in the country, bringing the total death toll to 74 due to brain-eating amoeba.
Dr. Abdul Hameed Jamani, the Director of Health, Naegleria has reported another fatality due to brain-eating amoeba, with a 23-year-old named Mohsin from Mirpur Khas succumbing to the infection.
Reports indicate that Mohsin initially showed symptoms of fever, headache, and nausea, which progressed to a critical condition, leading to his hospitalization.
Unfortunately, he passed away last night.
Dr. Jamani further revealed that the death toll in Sindh due to Naegleria infections has now reached 7, with four cases reported in Karachi, one in Quetta, one in Hyderabad, and this recent case in Mirpur Khas.
