Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has arrived in Saudi Arabia on A four-day official visit where he will meet Saudi Arabia's civil and military leadership.

According to the official news agency, the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR) said that the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa would also hold meetings with the military and civilian leadership during his official visit.
Earlier on April 29, Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry had said during a briefing that Prime Minister Imran Khan would pay an official visit to Saudi Arabia in early May. He said details of the visit would be released soon.

The Saudi Defense Ministry said in a statement on its website that the army chief was received by the Saudi Chief of General Staff Maj. Gen. Fayyad bin Hamed.
Later, the Saudi counterpart and Commander of the Saudi Joint Forces Lieutenant General (Staff) Fahd bin Turki Al Saud met the Chief of Army Staff and his accompanying delegation and was presented with a Guard of Honour at the Saudi Ministry of Defense.
During the meeting, General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili discussed new dimensions of military cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, ways to strengthen and consolidate them and other issues of mutual interest.
