Former Australian test cricketer Stuart MacGill is said to be abducted from his home in Sydney and held for ransom. He was released an hour later, local media reported on Wednesday.

As per details, the incident occurred last month on April 14 in city’s affluent Lower North Shore. However, four men have been detained in connection with the armed kidnapping of former cricketer.
The men were arrested in a pre-dawn raid.
As per police, after a two-week long investigation the men were arrested in a pre-dawn raid that was conducted across Sydney.
“A group of men confronted MacGill in the suburb of Cremorne at night before forcing him into a car,” said police.
Officials further added that the cricketer was then driven to Bringelly, on the city's outskirts, where he was allegedly assaulted at gunpoint and was released an hour later.
The arrested group members are aged 27, 29, 42 and 46 and will be charged according to law.
The 50-year old is yet to provide public comment on the incident.
Meanwhile, authorities have not yet provided details on his current condition.
Stuart MacGill is was a test spinner for Australian cricket team who took 208 wickets in 44 test matches for between 1988 and 2008.
The cricketer produced some excellent performances and in his career he played as a spin bowling coach for various teams.
