Deepika Padukone tests positive for Covid-19, confirms IIFA
New Delhi: Acclaimed Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has reportedly tested positive for novel coronavirus. Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) confirmed the news on social media.
The official handle of IIFA tweeted about actress' health update on Tuesday.
“Deepika Padukone has tested positive for Covid-19. Get well soon, Deepika!" the caption read.

The 35-year old actress is currently with her family in Bangalore and has not been admitted to hospital yet.
Earlier, Deepika’s father and legendary Indian badminton player Prakash Padukone has tested positive for COVID-19 and is recovering from the infection at a hospital in Bengaluru. He is expected to get discharged this week.
Around 10 days ago, her mother Ujjala Padukone and sister Anisha had also tested positive for deadly virus.
As India is battling the second wave of the Covid-19 currently, several Bollywood celebrities are testing positive for the contagious virus every day.
So far Aishwaria Rai, Amitabh Bachan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Abishek Bachan, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Varun Dhawan, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor tested positive and recovered from coronavirus.
