NAB accused of exceeding powers for detaining Grade 19 officer
PMS Association said that Additional Commissioner Kohat was abducted from the road by NAB in an old case under trial.
Peshawar: A letter has been written to Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over National Accountability Bureau (NAB) detaining a Grade-19 Provincial Management Service (PMS) officer.
According to details, PMS Officers Association has written a letter to the Chief Secretary against NAB accusing it of overstepping its powers.
PMS Association said that Additional Commissioner Kohat was abducted from the road by NAB in an old case under trial. First Information Report (FIR) and arrest are not made without prior approval of competent authority.
The letter stated that departmental action is taken on the irregularities of the officers. The case should be taken up with the concerned authorities for administrative protection.
