Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi stated that a large number of dengue larvae were recovered from 3000 places in Rawalpindi.


Rawalpindi: The number of dengue patients started increasing rapidly in Rawalpindi.
According to the health department, two new cases of dengue virus were reported in Rawalpindi in the last 24 hours, after which the total number of dengue virus patients became 101.
The Health Department said that 12 patients were brought to Benazir Bhutto Hospital, 16 to Holy Family and 7 to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.
Due to increasing cases of dengue patients, Pothohar Town, Rawal Town, Faisal Town, Dhok Syedan have been declared as hotspots while many areas of Chak Jalaluddin, Dhamman Syedan, Ariyala Roor and Rawalpindi Cantt are also affected by dengue.
The Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi stated that a large number of dengue larvae were recovered from 3000 places in Rawalpindi.
He informed that spraying and fogging process is underway in dengue affected areas, citizens should strictly follow dengue SOPs.
On the other hand, dengue centers have been established across the province on the instructions of Punjab Health Minister Dr. Jamal Nasir.
