Islamabad: 1.4kg of ice was recovered from the possession of a passenger traveling to Saudi Arabia from Islamabad.
According to details, Airport Security Force (ASF) staff arrested a passenger from Islamabad airport and recovered one and a half kilograms of ice heroin while conducting an operation at Islamabad Airport.
According to the spokesman, ASF personnel recovered 1.430 kg of ice heroin from the Riyadh-bound passenger.
The passenger Wasim Akram had skillfully hidden the ice heroin in the bottom of the bag, but the ASF personnel foiled the smuggling attempts by recovering the drug while searching the luggage.
The spokesperson of ASF told that the accused was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) authorities for further legal action along with the recovered drugs after initial investigation.
