Election Commission had written letters to the political parties regarding meetings.


Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is formally starting consultations with political parties today (Thursday) regarding upcoming general elections.
According to details, delegations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) will meet the Election Commission separately.
The meetings will discuss election schedule, polling date and road map of constituencies. The Election Commission has called PTI at 2:00 pm and JUI at 3:00 pm for the consultations.
The parties will be consulted on the election schedule and polling date. The Election Commission will also be consulted on the road map of constituencies. The meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will take place on August 25 and with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on August 29.
