FIA apprehends three suspects involved in various illicit activities.


Peshawar: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has apprehended three individuals involved in an unlawful currency exchange in Mandi and confiscated cash in multiple foreign currencies.
According to authorities, Azatullah was arrested in Turakham, Mohammad Mujahid was detained in Nishtarabad, Peshawar, and in the third operation, Shafiullah was apprehended in Gumbat, district Dera Ismail Khan.
The FIA disclosed that Azatullah had illegally possessed 51,000 Qatari Riyals and 49,000 Saudi Riyals. Mohammad Mujahid had unaccounted for 2,800 US Dollars, 1,600 New Zealand Dollars, and Pakistani Rupees.
In the third case, Shafiullah was found with 368,000 Pakistani Rupees.
Authorities stated that multiple receipts related to hawala transactions were also seized from the apprehended individuals.
Cases have been filed against all three suspects under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act for their involvement in the unlawful exchange of currencies.
