After hearing the arguments of the parties, ATC judge Abu Al-Hasnat reserved the verdict on Imaan Mazari's physical remand.
Islamabad: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Tuesday handed over Imaan Mazari, daughter of former federal minister Shireen Mazari, to the police on three-day physical remand.
According to details, ATC Judge Abu Al-Hasanat heard the case against Imaan Mazari in which Prosecutor Raja Naveed appeared in the court while Zainab Janjua appeared on behalf of Imaan.
During the hearing, prosecutor Raja Naveed argued that a case has been registered against Mazari in Bhara Kahu police station.
The plaintiff's case accused Imaan Mazari of inciting the youth and seducing them against the state. Raja alleged that he received threats when he defected from Imaan Mazari's party.
Prosecutor Raja Naveed requested the physical remand of Imaan, which was opposed by her lawyer Zainab Janjua saying that a new case was made on the day Iman was supposed to get bail.
Zainab stated: “How can three cases be registered on the same incident? Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) is not a terrorist party. No Objection Certificate (NOC) was issued for the rally. Stupid cases are being filed against Imaan”.
The lawyer added that a drama is being made against her client, the core purpose of the prosecution against her is something else.
Imaan's lawyers requested to discharge her from the case.
After hearing the arguments of the parties, ATC judge Abu Al-Hasnat reserved the verdict on Imaan Mazari's physical remand.
During the hearing, the judge allowed Imaan Mazari to meet her mother Shireen Mazari in the courtroom saying that only mother and daughter will meet in the courtroom, irrelevant people should leave the courtroom.
Meanwhile, Imaan became emotional meeting her mother in the court room while Shireen gave her daughter biscuits and juice to eat.
