Lahore: An accountability court extended the physical remand of former Punjab chief minister and PTI President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in Gujrat’s development funds embezzlement case by another four days on Tuesday.
The police must now present the suspect on September 2, per a court order.
Earlier, the investigation team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore produced the former Punjab chief minister before the court.
The court had sought a report from the investigation officer about the investigations made so far.
It merits mention here that Elahi is accused of committing corruption of billions of rupees in development projects.
