The interim minister for information and broadcasting says the government will extend its all-out cooperation to the commission in holding free, fair and transparent elections.


Islamabad: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi on Tuesday said that it was prerogative of Election Commission of Pakistan to announce date for general elections.
He said this while talking to the media outside ECP headquarters in Islamabad today.
The Minister said the government will extend its all-out cooperation to the commission in holding free, fair and transparent elections.
On other hand, Caretaker Minister for Interior Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti called on Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf in Islamabad.
During the meeting, they discussed in details matters pertaining to holding of general elections in the country in peaceful manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarfaraz Bugti said the caretaker government will extend full cooperation to Election Commission of Pakistan to hold the election in a peaceful manner.
