Islamabad: Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar is likely to visit three countries in September.
According to sources, the Interim PM Kakar is expected to visit Kenya in the first week, followed by his visit to Saudi Arabia in the second week of the next month.
The third week of September will bring PM Kakar's trip to the US.
During his planned trip to Saudi Arabia, PM Kakar will meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and other important Saudi figures, according to the sources.
Earlier, then interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has constituted two more cabinet committees on Monday.
The newly established bodies focused on privatization and public-owned businesses will be led by the finance minister.
According to the TORs, the committee on privatization will have the authority to authorize the privatization of government institutions and it will assess and supervise the privatization process's development.
The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises will review the implementation of the SOE Act, 2023, and look into matters related to the appointment of boards in government institutions.
The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises will assess how the SOE Act of 2023 is being put into practice and investigate issues pertaining to board appointments in government organizations.
