Karachi: There is a possibility of an increase in petroleum product prices from September 1st.
Sources have indicated that a proposal to increase petrol prices by up to Rs10 per liter has been suggested.
Diesel prices could also see an increase of Rs15 per liter, and a proposal of a Rs2 increase in petroleum levy on diesel has been recommended.
The sources have stated that the proposal aims to maintain the prices of kerosene and petrol.
Recommendations are being prepared in this regard, and they will be sent to the Economic Coordination Committee for approval.
The final approval will be given after consultation with the Prime Minister.
