Johannesburg: In a tragic incident, 52 people have been killed while dozens sustained the injuries as fire broke out in a five-story building in Johannesburg, South Africa.
According to the foreign news agency, the fire in the building in Johannesburg has been brought under control, but the cooling process continues and the management is yet to determine the cause of the fire.
According to local reports, 52 people died and 40 were injured in the fire incident in a building.
According to spokesperson of Johannesburg Emergency Management Service, a fire broke out in the building at 1:30am local time, which engulfed the entire building.
The emergency officials told that estimated 50 affected people were provided with medical aid, however the rescue operation is still underway in the building.
