X to roll out audio, video calls feature soon
No phone number will be needed to make audio and video calls.

California: CEO Elon Musk of social media platform X (Twitter) Thursday announced that soon the feature of audio and video calls will be introduced in the app.
Elon Musk said in his message on X that the feature of audio and video calls will be available to users soon. He added that this feature will work on Android, iOS, Mac and Windows computers.
The Tesla owner wrote that no phone number will be needed to make audio and video calls.

That set of factors is unique.
It is pertinent to note that this feature has been referenced several times by the company in recent months.
Earlier in May 2023, Elon Musk had first talked about introducing this feature.
