On Friday, the court ruled on Pervaiz Elahi's request and ordered his release.

Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Friday ordered the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
According to details, LHC heard the petition against the arrest of Elahi, in which National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials presented the former chief minister of Punjab before court.
PTI president had challenged his arrest in the court on behalf of NAB and Justice Amjad Rafique had asked Director General (DG) NAB to issue a warrant if Parvez Elahi was not produced.
On Friday, the court ruled on Parvez Elahi's request and ordered his release.
During the hearing in the court, Justice Amjad Rafique inquired that accountability court had been told that intra-court appeal had been dismissed. On this, the NAB prosecutor said that it is not in my knowledge.
Responding to NAB prosecutor's reply, Justice Amjad said: “There will be a full inquiry, I am now ordering the immediate release of Parvez Elahi”.
